Introducing Our Lenoir, NC Mill
Woodgrain Millwork is proud to announce the addition of our newest plant in Lenoir, North Carolina. This facility is Woodgrain Millwork’s sixth domestic mill and seventh mill total. With the support of the local community and the Caldwell County Economic Development Council, we celebrated our opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, November 6, 2014.
Woodgrain has a long history of product innovation and investment in technology. Our investment in technology in this mill will optimize the yield from the lumber and allow us to compete with global manufacturers. We will be manufacturing lineal primed moulding at this mill, with a focus on East Coast distribution within a 500 mile radius.
Throughout the construction and renovations to the mill, Woodgrain has been committed to contracting and purchasing from local companies as much as possible. Over the last year in Lenoir we have:
- Installed the manufacturing equipment
- Started production of moulding
- Grown from 1 to 90 employees
- Increased production to half of the mill’s capacity
Over the next year, we look forward to doubling our production, while increasing efficiency and reaching our full manufacturing potential. Woodgrain Millwork is proud of this latest investment, not only in a new millwork facility, but also in the Lenoir community. Thanks to all those who have worked diligently to get this facility up and running!
